Bizarre symptom

Okay, I don't know if this is another symptom of the yo-yoing my thyroid levels have been doing or a side affect of the benadryl, but I thought I would check with everyone here to see if someone had seen this before. I've been on benadryl for a couple of weeks now, while I wait for my levels to normalize and the itching to go away. Just recently I've had this curious problem crop up. About 2:00 in the after noon, my ears get hot. Nothing else, just the ears. It's not painful and not really uncomfortable - it's more annoying than anything. It will last for a couple of hours and then fade away. Anyone else seen this problem?

I don't think I have but it sure sounds familiar so maybe I'm just not remembering it! Who knows what that could be. Maybe it's when the medicince reaches a certain level in your system? I've come to believe almost anything is possible with this! One thing I *do* know, it will pass. Cathy :)

Cathy, thanks for all of your responses. You have been a lot of help. I have made an appointment with my original doctor (not the one that took me off synthroid) for next week. He is going to have my TSH, free T3 and free T4 tested with me fasting and before I take me synthroid in the morning to get a clear picture of what's going on. He even ordered the tests for before I go in so he will have the results at appointment time. I'm still trying to remember why I wanted to switch doctors in the first place.

That sounds perfect. I always thought they should do the lab work so they'll have the results when you go in there! It makes so much sense. Maybe you can get some answers once all your results are in. At least he's responding to your needs and willing to check it all out. That's worth a lot!! Cathy :)
