I finally met with my doctor today and got a copy of my lab results. Here they are:

TSH 2.04

Free T3 4.8

Free T4 15.0

Do these look good? Not? For the past 6 or 7 years I have been fighting depression and I am sure its all (or mostly) related to my thyroid and if I could improve the numbers than maybe I would feel better. Do you think there is room for improvement?

Are they in the normal lab ranges or do you have them?

Yes they show in the "normal" lab ranges BUT I have read so much about new ranges etc and that labs don't always have the most up to date "normal range" information. That it is printed there for reference and that doctors should be going by new information than the labs might have. For instance I have heard TSH should be in a new range of .3 to 3 (I believe?) and the lab says normal range is .2 -6.0) so that is why I didn't post them. If it helps I could post them.

All I can say from what I hear around the net, etc. Is that people feel best with their free t3 and free t4 in the top 3rd of the range.
