Hello all,

sorry i havent been on lately. work and kids and being tired get in the way. well here is the latest I ended up in the Er on wendseday drove myself there,My tsh is over 100 that is how they read it for some odd reason there, did a ekg and cat scan that was normal. My feet and arms and fingers keep swelling so my pcp told me to go to the er so I did it.

Then on Thursday I went to see my regular pcp my bp was at 145/90 and I basically told her I need to go to the endo soon I cant wait till december she got me into the new endo on friday and he did a exam and thinks I may be diabetitic but doesnt want to do all the blood work till I am on my new dose of injectable synthroid for 6 weeks which is now up to 700 mcg a day.

He says i have a lot of the signs of a diabetic and possible have sleep apena so that is the latest. I am not sure about this dr but it is only the 1st visit and he was exhausted he was suppose to be off but came in for me and a few other patients.

My other question is do any of you also have diabetes?

sorry to get back the worse part of the r visit is the dr told me to go back to work even though i cant get my work shoes on and my bp was 170/99.

sometimes i really hate the medical profession.

Hi - I'm so sorry to hear that you haven't found a solution yet! I wouldn't work if I were you - if you can take some time off. Your blood pressure is too high. Did the doctor give you anything to bring it down? Or the ER doctors?

Diabetes is an autoimmune condition, just like most hypothyroidism so it wouldn't be at all unusual for you to have it. Or any of us. Having one autoimmune condition makes us more susceptable to others.

I'm very worried about you!! Where do you live? Perhaps you need to travel somewhere else to get the right diagnosis. Would you be able to do that? I don't know exactly where that would be but I could research it for you. What do you think? You really can't go on like this. It's not good for you!!! Big hugs, Cathy

Hello,

Unfortunately i have to work but I am going down to 3 days a week.I live in Northern Ky near Cincinnati so I cant travel very easily as my husband is gone a lothe is an airline pilot and have no family near bye.

I am going to give this dr a chance the one I saw on Friday. I am trying to change some of my eating habits to see if that will help.I am also doing a lot of praying, figure God has more answers than man.

My bp goes back and forth so I think maybe they are waiting to see if to give me medicine because most medicines I get sick on my lovely body is weird (thats just my opinion)).

Thanks for answering my questions and letting me vent.
