Its been so long since I've been able to surf these boards. I've missed it so much.
Anyhow, I am coming to you all for some advise...
Here are some of the things that I am finding unbearable right now..
1)Brain fog - its rediculous. I am having trouble getting through the "1-2-3", if you know what I mean. I pick up my keys, go to the kitchen (for my note) and all of a sudden I've forgotten what the heck I'm there for. Its awful... this is constant! I'm havign trouble at work staying focused. Sometimes I feel like I'm "dazed"... my eyes get "stuck" and I'm literally in a dze thinking what comes next...
2) Fatigue - unbearable, literally not tolerable. I am SO tired. I too am a clean fanatic (like many of you here) and lately I just dont have the mental or physical energy. Sleep does not help.
3) Coldness - its just starting to get cold here where I live, we had our first snowfall Monday, and I am FREEZING! I had to go out tonight and buy some flannel sheets for my bed, cause I nearly froze to death last night!
4) Feeling of loss of control, maybe its depression, I dont know. BUt its like a "doom and gloom" hanging over my head.
I dont know if these are Hypo or not. If I recall correctly my TSH reading was 3.8 (like I said to you, Jill)... the doc said its a "normal" reading. That was probubly 6 months ago. I havent had it checked again, but I do have an appt to see my doc on Thursday. I just cant handle this anymore.
Oh ya, then there's the total inability to lose weight. I am at an all time high, yes I did manage to lose 5 lbs (wow - I could stand to lose 35!)... but it took 5 freakin weeks! I cut out the exercise, cause I'm just too tired.
What do you all think... Jill mentioned polysystic ovaries? Just looking for some insight...
Thanks for listening. Its great to be "home". Love, Marley'

Hi:
Well, based on those symptoms, I highly recommend that you go in and have a complete thyroid panel done. Have you called your doctor?
I still have symptoms at a TSH of 3.4, as do many people whose TSH is over 3; the new normal range is 0.3-3.0. It is also possible that you're tests will come back differently now that some time has passed. The other labs (T4, T3, etc.) will better help you evaluate what's going on as well.
You're in good company on this board!
Good luck! & hope you feel better soon.
Dee.

Hey stranger!!
I forgot to mention too that I also have Fibromyalgia (diagnosed confirmed time after time, since 12 years now). I just read last night that Fibro puts you at a much higher risk of thyroid problems.
I just hope I can convince my doc tomorrow to refer me. He's a bit of "brusher-offer" if you know what I mean.
I do have a back up plan though, if he's not willing to pursue it further than I will make a special trip to the city (which is an hour and a half) away to see my rhuematologist who treated me years ago for Fibro. Sigh.. why does take so much freakin effort to get answers?
Anyhow, I appreciate the support... I'll let you all know what he says. I've printed off some info on symptoms and have circled everything that applies to me. Jill, if I think of it I'll ask him about the polycystic ovaries too. (if he'll listen that is)
I am SO SO tired. My youngest daughter had dental surgery today (had 6 extractions and 2 crowns), its been a tough day, but I couldnt wait to see what you all had to say about all this, I just had to check in!
I love this place, and am so sorry that I dont check in more often. Like I said, it feels good to be home!
Hope everyone is well! Love Marley
