Hi Chrissy - The test is done to find the presence of antithyroid antibodies. That will show if you have an autoimmune condition such as Graves (hyper) or Hashimoto's (hypo). Every lab has it's own normal range. Did you get yours? From what I'm reading, it seems most labs indicate less than 40 as the normal level. So you can see that yours is higher than that. This is a very complicated area that is hard to find much information on, beyond lab sites. But that is the best I can do! Do you have any symptoms of either hypo or hyperthyroidism? I know you've posted before but haven't read your post is a couple of days! Cathy :)

hi chrissy. the lab normal for my lab which is Quest, says that normal for thyroglobulin AB is below 2.0. so i guess it's really important to know what your labs normal are.

i also had a test called thyroid peroxidase AB and mine was 70 and normal below 2.0 although my tsh at that time was only 3.3. all this is very confusing. dont you agree?
