Hello everyone,
I went to the chat room tonight but didn't see anyone. OHHHHH!!!! DUH!!! Thats cuase it's tuesday!! I'm so blonde. LOL!
Anyway, my FNP called today to talk to me about my visit with the Endo and I told her everything that happened. She was appauled by this doctors ethics and lack of bedside manner. She told me NOT to go back to him and come see her in a few weeks and we will work something out together with my condition or she will send me to another Endo. She did state that she thought she wanted to take me off the thyroid meds. She asked if my symptoms were getting better. I told her I was still tired and achy as heck. She said tired was thyroid but not the aches. She said she thought that more CFS or Fibromylagia, but doesn't want to just group me into that catorgory and let me go at that.
Just when I thought she didn't care a hoot about me, she turns around and is super wonderful and nice. Would there be a reason she would take me off the thyroid meds? I should have asked but was just waking from my mid-morning nap when she called. I did blood work today and she wants one more blood work done in 2 weeks before I come see her. She also asked if my vacation seemed to make me better. I told her I did feel better while on vacation but as soon as I got back I felt all the problems again, but not as bad. She asked what the difference was and I told her less stress, More sleep (at least 10 hours a day) and LOTS of caffine! Now that I am back home I have the stress again, less sleep (7 hours a day) and I don't really drink soda at home so no more caffine, or at least, not as much. Anyone have an ideas for me on what to do next or why she would wanna take me off the thyroid meds if they seem to have most of my levels under control?
Thanks,
Sandy

Cathy,
My aches and pains are my right shoulder, my right knee and my left elbow. My neck also hurts on the right side. I also have certain pressure points that are bad too. Most days I have trouble lifting my arms (both) over my shoulders. When I sit for a certain length of time, it is SO HARD to get up and get moving. But once I do, I am ok. And sometimes I am so tired I can barely move or get out of bed. She said not to stop the thyroid meds until we see each other in the next 2 weeks. That gives us 2 more lab tests to go by. I don't understand at all why she would take me off a medicine that is obviously working. I mean, can your thyroid quit working and have antibodies in high readings (TSH 6.3) and go on meds and then they come down way to low (TSH 0.02 normal being 0.40) and then suddenly resolve itself without the aid of medication?
