I want to apologize first if I give TMI.

My period just ended sunday on which I would say was a normal event.  I am starting it again today!!!  My right ovary was hurting- achey, and I thought oh no! but I didn't think it would actually come. It just started so who knows how long it will last.   I went from having 1 period every 3 months to now 2x's a month.  It happened last month but it was brief...I thought a fluke thing b/c my body is just messed up.

Also I am (again) or still having chest pains. I keep coughing like I have to breath...ever have that feeling? I usually have it with a cold except I am not stuffy. I noticed around my thyroid area its pink and blotchy.

Does anyone know what in the heck is going on???

You need to see a doctor. I know before my Graves' settled down I would go without a period (or with a very light one) for months at a time, and then get a really heavy one. Turned out I had a cyst on one of my ovaries by the way. I actually had fluid in my lungs when I was in the hospital, along with chest pain and SOB; doctor said it was caused by heart failure that was a result of uncontrolled hyperthyroidism.

April, please don't take chances, even "just" the flu can land a person in the hospital! With your symptoms, you ought to have a doctor look you over.

Should I call my Endo or my regular doc?

I'm sorry, yes, I know how waiting it out can be... I'm thinking that if you aren't feeling well, and don't believe your symptoms are thyroid related, then a trip to your GP would be in order. I pray you feel better before Christmas!

Hi April - sorry to be missing for so long. I couldn't get on to post! I think you should call your doctor, too, if you haven't already done it. I wouldn't fool around with chest pains. It's better to be safe and feel like a whiner than to be in big trouble because you ignored something important. I'm glad you're feeling better now but still ... I would call the doctor if i were you. Hugs, Cathy :)
