regarding having had Graves Disease then going hypo after 6 years...it was called Graves Disease wonderings lol I believe. Where I thought I was going hypo because of some of the symptoms I was having...

I just got the results from my blood tests back and it turns out I'm hyper NOT hypo. Which explains why I've been eating like a pig, and been walking around my apartment for the last week or so not knowing what the hell to do with all the energy I had. It's weird cause you have a ton of energy but you can't get off your a55 to do anything about it lol . I've also started with little heart palpitations the last few days.

Sooo what I'm trying to say here is to PLEASE hound your doctor for blood tests every 6 months and not just once a year. I don't care how long it's been since you had your thyroid taken out or shut down with RAI or whatever...it doesn't take long for something to change in your body and your levels to go all out of whack. I haven't been hyper in close to 7 years.

Anyways that's my good?? lol news for today. It just feels so much better when you know what's wrong with you! And for those of you who are just getting diagnosed and scared and feeling horribly crappy, don't worry it totally does get better. :)

Hi Jenni - I'm so glad for you. It really does make a difference when you know what's going on. And I would for further than having blood tests every 6 months and recommend every 3 months if your doctor will agree to it. Good for you for sticking with it until you found out what was going on. So what will you do now? Cathy :)
