Hi Guys - here's a post about the changes happening on ivillage starting January 26th. I've had a peek at the new design and it's very cool! Cathy :)
6 days till the debut of the new iVillage!
On Wednesday, January 26, iVillage will get a makeover.
What's in store?
·New look: iVillage's new design is fresher, brighter and more fun -- more photos, more videos and a whole new color palette!
·New navigation: iVillage is easier to use. By reorganizing information and simplifying the list of channels*, it's easier to find what you are looking for. It's also easier to move from one area to another -- and back again.
·New stuff:
Customizable features, including the new Pregnancy & Parenting homepage and the new Pregnancy and First Year of Life calendars
·up-to-the-minute content on personal well-being
·the latest entertainment news -- including Leading Ladies (reviews by top-notch women film critics from around the country) -- plus games and quizzes to perk you up when you're in the mood for a break
What's changing on Health: Health is broadening its mission to include information, inspiration and support for women who want to live a healthy lifestyle. In the new Health & Well-Being channel, you'll find great new features on living the healthiest life you can, whether you are currently dealing with a health condition or just want to feel and look your best. Health's Message Board Central page is getting a makeover, too, but it will list all the boards like it does now. If you've bookmarked the page, your bookmarks will still work.
What's staying the same: Message boards will get a new top and bottom nav bar, but aside from that, they aren't changing. The URLs for boards are staying the same, so if you've bookmarked a board or added it to your list of Favorite Boards, you'll be able to use your lists just like before. (Tip: If you haven't already bookmarked this board, add it to your list so it's easy to find it after the redesign launches.)
Stop back on the 26th and tell us what you think!
(*Here's the new list of channels: Beauty & Style, Diet & Fitness, Health & Well-Being, House & Home, Love & Sex (formerly Relationships), Pregnancy & Parenting and Entertainment)
