Hello! My name is Carla. I have hypothyroidism. I have had it for over 15 years. I probably had it all my life, but it was just diagnosed 15 years ago. In recent years my medications have changed a lot. You see, I had Gastric Bypass Surgery in 2001. What my doctor "thinks" happened, was that my thyroid meds had stored up in my "fat" for years. So when I started rapid weight loss, the meds were released. They thought my thyroid was "healed" and completely took me off of meds! Well, a few short months later, I thought I was dying, when in fact it was my thyroid!
I have recently moved and I know my thyroid is acting up. I am waiting on new insurance to kick in so I can go to the doc. Until then, I am taking it easy and not over extending myself.
Well, that's my story! How's everyone else doing?
Huggies!!

Carla
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort.
