Hi:

I just couldn't make it to work today... I'm home with sore throat (more like swollen throat: my voice is all gravelly and I'm having trouble swallowing), muscle spasms, exhaustion and uncontrollable weeping...

I'm mid-cycle, so I can't even blame it on my period this time...

I'm back to wondering if it's something else?

Dee.

Dee...

I'm sorry you feel so bad...I wish I could offer some helpful suggestions but all I can offer is a sympathetic ear so you can vent. I really hope you start to feel better soon!

Thanks, Dazed....

I really, truly am feeling quite crummy these days... and I'm in that waiting game time where i know all I can do is wait until I've been on the dose for long enough before calling in again...

I'm seriously considering leaving my 30-hour/week job and finding something per diem because with my daughter and the house I never have enough time to rest and excercise and get better...

Thanks for you kind words & I'll keep venting (like, what else can I do??)

Hi Dee - I'm sorry you're feeling so bad. Maybe if you can work less, you should try it out. I wonder if you're still having trouble recovering your strength from the holiday season? Remember how you were feeling great and then all that stress just wore you out? I'll bet with a less stressful job, it would really help you. You can't be always running around with a million things to do and no rest in sight!!! Big hugs, Cathy :)

Thanks Cathy,

I agree--- the really stressful holidays followed by jumping into work and my normal crazy routine with no down-time (and the added stress of making up for the 2 weeks off and my daughter's re-adjustment back to school)... and I fee like I've never recovered from it.

I'm trying to create a plan to work in a more flexible way... It's tough, though, because job changes are hard. I'll take a few weeks off completely, to ease myself into the change this time....

Thanks for your support,
Dee.

are you over the cold/flu?

I think that time off will be great for you!! I hope this all works out. No, I'm not better yet! GRRRRRRR! It's just a lingering anoyance at this point. I feel pretty good but not 100% yet. I'm off this week, though. Winter break!! YAY! So that will help. I worked everyday while I was sick because I had so many special situations with some kids that I didn't want miss. But I slept late today and I'm hoping to get some "down" time. Is that ever possible??? LOL! Hugs, Cathy :)
