well i am actually going to see my dr. today so i haven't officially be diagnosed, i am just researching the subject, hopefully i will find something out today but can anyone tell me if weight loss has been easier since being diagnosed? i have been working out heavily for about 3 mos. and haven't lost a single lb. yet.

I for one have not lost ANY weight since being diagnosed, and have, in fact continued to GAIN! My understanding is that we all know it's hard to lose weight, and can be harder with hypothyroidism...it takes dedication and consistency and will power. I hope you find the right combination for you...

Hi:
Sorry-- I've gained 20 pounds in the last year since my diagnosis. BUT that's because I'm not on the right dose of supplement yet. When I get there, I feel confident that the weight loss efforts will be easier.

But, sadly, right now I've been dieting and keeping active just to keep the weight gain slow... (I would have gained a lot more if I hadn't been trying so very hard!)

The key is to get on the right course of treatment.
And, like dazed said, to be dedicated and have a will of iron.
