What do you think?

I am a 31 year old Mom to a 2 year old who has not bee feeling great for a little while now. I have alwasy been thin-5'8", 122 lbs and have congenital birth defects(not visible), so I'm no stranger to symptoms and dr.s. However, about 6-8 months ago I randomly lost about 7lbs, so now I weigh in at 115-fully clothed. Along with the weight loss comes an appetite that never ends, shakiness even if I just ate, vision issues, nausea and tiredness(however I never sleep restfully),wierd menstrual cycles, and breast tenderness(not pg!).I've been wondering if it is my thyroid, hypoglycemia, stress(which I have TONS of) or nothing at all.
I just dont feel good. What do you think? What were some of your symptoms for thyroid issues?
Thanks,
gakatemom

Sounds like it is worth getting checked for.
Hi! Last fall, I noticed my nails were very brittle and breaking all the time. I also was very tired and getting into these "funks" were I didn't want to do anything, go anywhere or have anyone over. I thought at first I needed more iron. So, I started taking an iron supplement. I also started taking a calcium supplement for my nails. Then, I thought it was my birth control pill, so my ob-gyn changed my pills. Nothing was working. I had also lost weight without even trying, which is very unusal for me. I also noticed that my blood pressure was higher than normal at my annual visit. I then thought it was depression. So, I went out and bought some "mood mender" hot tea bags. I thought that the hot tea was helping me. I also had noticed that sometimes my heart would race. I started to feel better, but not my normal self. It was crazy how I was feeling. I just thought that it was because I had a 3 1/2 year old and 14 month old to chase around the house. Then, at the beginning of January, I noticed a lump in my neck. I had blood work done, an ultrasound and uptake scan, it came back that I had Grave's disease. Talk about a several months of wondering what was going on! I actually felt a wave of relief come over me when the diagnoses came in. I finally knew what was going on with me!
I would get some blood work done. That's a good place to start and then you can go from there. This board is full of great support. Even though I don't post all the time, I read thru everyone else's posts and I feel better! Please keep us updated. Also, please don't wait anymore, go in and get blood work done! You can go to your primary care doctor for your initial blood work and check up. Then when you know what is going on, you can find a specialist to go to.
Take care! Danielle
