Hi Cathy-pem, I just wanted to ask you if you ever heard of Thyroid & L-Tyrosine Complex from Enzymatic Therapy Inc.? Do you think it would be a good idea to take with your medication? Just was wondering as usual.... Thanks for your reply. Have a good afternoon. Mary Ann

Hi MaryAnn - I used to take L-Tyrosine as a supplement. It's precursor to thyroid hormone -meaning it needs to be available in the body in order for it to manufacture thyroid hormone. I've never heard of the brands you're mentioning, though. Dr Perricone recommends L-Tyrosine in his book, The Perricone Solution in his "fat burning" vitamin and supplement list. Does it work?? I don't know! LOL! What I've noticed is that with every new thing I tried, I'd get a good response from it but then it would level off. If it's thyroid hormone you need, nothing can substitute for it. If it's just a "sluggish" thyroid, then maybe these things are worth checking out. It's hard to say since no one has really tested this stuff. That's sort of non-answer for you! Cathy ;)

Thanks, cathypem. That's what I'm looking for. Something else I can try for my sluggish thyroid. I will look into what you recommended. Thanks again. Mary Ann

Hi cathypem, just wanted to let you know that I just got TwinLab L-Tyrosine plus.
Will let you know if I see a difference or not. Did it help you much when you took it?
Would be interested in your response. Thanks Mary Ann
