I'm headed back to the docs again. I have an appointment for Monday. I just took the Health Screen Test again which shows the t4free and tsh.

So my tsh is >0.01
and my t4free is 3.2

And my cbc turned out okay I guess. This time I had a high platelate count. What does that mean? I have a head cold right now, not sure if that is affecting things.

So.. yeah... My tsh is so freakin low. I don't get it. I take my meds everyday at the same time, maybe that's where I'm going wrong and no wonder I still feel like crap. arugh. So on to either radioiodine or surgery I guess. Don't know what I'm going to do. I'll know by monday though. Keep me in your prayers that things go okay.

Thanks for everything.

I did a typo on my tsh it's <0.01 but i guess it doesn't matter.

I am on methemazole 2 pills 3 times a day. Last time I went to the docs they said I was at my highest dose.

My lab has these ranges.
free t-4: mine was 3.2 and it should be between 0.8-1.8 ng/dl
tsh : Mine was <0.01 and it should be between 0.40-5.5 mu/l
Are those the typical ranges?

Do you think it's time to just move on and do radioiodine or surgery or keep trudging along in hopes that things get better. I know what the docs are going to say.

Everyone is a great deal of help here. I'm still learning things. But I'm glad this board is here. Thanks for everything.
take care
Kim

Don't jump into anything. From what I've read, people with Graves' disease can always have somewhat elevated TSH levels without it necessarily meaning anything, if your free T3 and free T4 levels are normal. I've been on Tapezole for about two years and when I had lab work done last month, my TSH was only 0.4. I'd be more concerned with the way you feel. Is it your thyroid or something else?

Hi Kim,

It would be my opinion to wait it out some more.

Thank you so much for helping me understand all this.I still get confused at times. As to how I'm feeling. I have good days and bad days. I have good days because I know what my limits are. The bad days are when I get to stressed aboutthings. Then it feels my body is wigging out. Dizzy, faint feeling etc. I still can't walk very far and that is getting to me. I try and walk in the stores and it doesn't happen. I start to feel weak and then wham I feel like I'm going to pass out. I try and push myself but then I have a harder time bouncing back. So yeah. I have good days and bad days, like the rest I'm sure.

Thanks for everything! I'll let you know what i decide!
Take care
Kim

Hi Kim! I just wanted to let you know that your TSH can be suppressed for a while! Even though your FT4 and T3 could be coming into normal range, it can take 6 months or more for your TSH to come back into normal range. This is coming from my previous endo. (Pevious not meaning he was bad, just his office staff was terrible! Actually he was pretty good.) They look at your FT4 and T3 more than the TSH.

Just please hang in there! You are still too early (in my book) to jump to RAI or surgery. Please give the med's time to work! It will take time. You are in my thoughts and prayers!

Take care! Danielle

Oh! How is your son doing at night with the potty training thing? My son has been keeping his pull-up dry for the past several weeks! I think we are ready to let him wear this underwear at night soon! Yippee!
