Wow- CLCalley,
I hope you don't mind me posting up here but as a sugar ADDICT I thought I would post it up here in hopes maybe someone else can try this. I think I will give it a shot. I am hoping (once again) to start my "lifestyle change" and eat healthy, exercise, etc. I know the answer is never a pill to do something quick and easy, but if it just helps curb cravings- like I said, I am willing to try it.
I think I may give one of these vitamins a shot! Shoot, if it helps- sign me up!! Thanks!
>>Niacinamide (vitamin B3) in high doses does lower the cravings, as it does for nicotine, alcohol and drugs (Yep). It does take high doses, like 250 to 500 mgs three times a day. You can also do it with straight niacin, but you may feel a tingling red flush that can be uncomfortable. L-glutamine works well, too -- maybe even better than vitamin B3. <<

I did a quick search on the net. It seems doses above 1000mg can (rarely) cause problems. Some docs use 3000mg to treat certain conditions.
