Hi,
I am usually just a lurker here but today I would like to share something (food for thought maybe ;o)
and ask a quick question.
This morning I went for a healing massage from a holistic healer, she also does herbal healings and acupuncture. (it was my first time, received it as a gift) Anyhow, she knew from massaging my ears what problems I have and asked me if I have type “O†blood. She said people with type “O†blood are the most likely to have thyroid problems.
So now I am kind of curious . . . Do most of you with thyroid problems have type “O†blood?
Has anyone heard of this before?
She suggested that I try the blood type diet.
She claims that eating food for your blood type eliminates the foods that make you feel ill and/or lousy and will regulate your thyroid. Plus your body will also automatically go to a healthy weight.
I'm thinking I might try it.
Here is a link for blood type “O†foods if anyone's interested:

TIA

Very interesting...
My blood type is A (negative).
Hi Lake-effect,
That is interesting; I have not heard that before.
gee whiz you're not helping the theory at all ;o)
(kind of funny.)
I'm wondering now if there will even be another "O" here.
I thought it was kind of interesting too. I have never heard of it either but the lady really sounded like she knew what she was talking about (more then most Doctors I‘ve seen). Though I imagine there are many other factors that can play into it.
This lady that I went to is a long time friend of a very good friend of mine and I have heard lots of great stuff about her from others as well so I am pretty confident about her advice. At least more then if I had just picked her out of the phone book.
Anyway I just thought it would be fun to find out what this board thought.
If you find out your blood type you'll have to let us know.
