Hi all!

I posted a few weeks ago regarding high TSH levels and a nodule on my lower right side of my thyroid. I am going for bloodwork tomorrow (a month since I started Synthroid) to have my TSH checked again in hopes that the Synthroid has lowered my TSH level. Last I had bloodwork done, my TSH was 36.119 (too high). My doctor suggested I come back within a month of starting my Synthroid to have my TSH checked again and adjust my Synthroid, if needed.

I hope and pray that my thyroid and TSH are getting better since starting Synthroid! Please keep your fingers crossed for me :-)

Hi Sun,

Have you been able to feel any difference over this past month regarding your symptoms?

Hi Calley7

Overall, I do feel somewhat better and of course some days are better than others. I am able to focus and remember things better since starting Synthroid. My energy level is better, but still not where I know it can be. My mood is better, but there are some days where I am mildly depressed (today was one of those days).

I had bloodwork done after school today (I teach 3rd grade). The nurse that took my blood told me that it will be processed at the lab this afternoon/evening and they should know the results Monday or Tuesday.

I go back to have an another ultrasound done of the nodule in June (on my birthday, in fact). If things don't look as if they have improved, I do not know what is next. Looking at my pituitary gland was discussed as well as removing the right side of my thyroid. Of course, as I mentioned earlier, all of this depends on how well the Synthroid is working and if my TSH has dropped.

One step at a time, I guess!

Thanks for the responses and the thoughts sent my way today! Have a great weekend!
Beth

Oh, I also meant to mention that since starting the Synthroid a little over a month ago, I have not seen any changes in my weight. I am hoping to lose as I am about 30 pounds overweight. I am not a heavy eater; however, I do eat more carbs than I should (don't we all???) and I have not been to the gym in a while.
