Want to change doctors

I didn't feel listened to. I told the doc what was going on. Admitted that I wasn't taking my meds like I should, and that my current does was making me feel sick when I did take it, like it did when my 1st dose was to high. Tottally dismissed me. He said my feeling sick had to be something else. In the end he did lower my dose down one to 75 mcg, and told me to come back in 6 weeks for a blood test and see if I have to go up. And if still feel sick when I take my meds and my thyroid is stabilized, to come back for more tests.

Hi Heather,
That's tough when you feel your doctor isn't listening.
He is my PCP, I have only seen him a couple times, and due to the type of insurance I have, I have to go to him, unless he feels a that a visit to the endo is warrented.
I think he was thinking at first that I was taking my meds like I am supposed to, and I devolped the sick feeling, after telling him again it was only when I took the meds (not everyday, bad Heather) that I felt sick until around 1pm and then felt better after that time, that he okayed lowering the dose. He said last time I had my blood drawn I was around a two and that was perfect and what was I doing to get that. I told him I took my pill everyday. Then I got busy and lazy, and forgetful. I started to kick myself in butt about it and when I took my pill again, I felt like I wanted to throw up(never did), but I did have diarreah (sorry if that is tmi).
He said if after my thyroid levels are good and I still feel sick, then he will test for diabetes, cholestroal, a panel of other blood tests.
