Does anyone else with Hashimoto's have swollen glands around their neck? I can barely swallow they are so swollen and I'm not even sick. I've had swollen glands off and on for 14 months.

Absolutely! I am a 10-year sufferer and can always tell when my antibodies are out of whack by the size and tenderness of my neck. Only one side on my neck swells, though, even though both lobes are enlarged. My problem is now so severe that I'm still wearing a turtleneck in May. The swollen lymph glands and accompanying cold & hot spells make me feel like I have mono everyday. Doctor is now recommending thyroidectomy because of my symptoms. I am praying that it offers some relief.

Advil may offer you temporary relief from pain and swelling. Get at least 10 hours of sleep each night until the swelling goes down.

Hope you feel better.
