I have a doctor's appointment tomorrow morning to get the latest blood test results. I was first told 12 years ago that my thyroid was enlarged. Blood tests showed everything in the "normal" range. I have had several doctors tell me over the years since then that it is enlarged - same thing, normal tests.
In the meantime, I have gained 60 pounds over the last 12 years and haven't ever been able to lose more than 10 pounds at a shot.
Actually hoping for some non-normal results tomorrow so someone will finally do something about my enlarged thyroid.
Also considering going to a wellness specialist to see what comes out of that as well.
Either way, I think I'll be visiting this board now that I've found it.

Hi Traci,

Welcome to our board and yes, do come back whenever you can.

Are you seeing your regular doctor today or do you go to an endocrinologist?

Had my appointment, and as expected my TSH came back normal at 2.37. This was with my regular doctor, who referred me to an endocronologist for more testing, etc. to get to the bottom of this.
I think I'm going to go see this wellness person too. I told my doctor about it and she said to give it a try.
Liver and kidney tested normal. Blood sugar was 94, also normal.
And my cholesterol was 98. Yup - 98. That's not typo.
