Hypo- help needed

Im frustrated. I was diagnosed hypo, and had a dr. that had me on meds. My insurance changed , had to get new Dr. Mr. Young Buck, decided my level wasnt low enough on something to have me on meds. Said I didnt need it. I guess there may be like two levels they check? Anyways one level was below normal, the other level of something was right at the low end of normal, like say if normal was a scale from like 7 to 4. With 3 being below normal, I would be at a 4. (I cant remember the scientific details so this is just an example not actual) So my Dr. says unless both of those numbers are in the below normal range, he wont put me on meds. I know I need meds. Ughh. Im frustrated.

Does anyone know of anything over the counter I can get, to help boost it, like herbs or something?

If you go to www.about.com there is a wonderful place in there dealing with the thyroid. I don't know off the top of my head, I stumbled upon it myself, but there is a way in there that you can find highly recommende endocrinologists in your area. I found mine on there and I love him. He is so much more interested in how I feel, not just what my "numbers" are. People will only put the Dr.s up IF they like them and have helped them. I do believe they will put up ones they do not recommend also. I will go and try to scout my way around again and if I can get a link for you, I will do so.

hello,
I would try to see an endcronologist or talk to your old dr and see if he can get you a prescription of what you were taking or has samples it sounds like the medicine was helping you.the other thing i would suggest is talk directly to the insurance compnayyour new one and explain the problem and see whatt hey can do.

Here is the link to the page I told you about. Just click on your state and hopefully you will find one in your area. Like I said, that is where I found mine and I love him and his Phys. Asst. to pieces.

p.s. Good Luck
