Hi, I'm Cassie, 26yrs old. I was born with immune difficiancy and a hole in my heart that healed on it's own. I have several allergys including the sun (strange, but I get sunburned and poisoned extreamly easily), iodine (annaphalactic shock), codine, and a few others I can't think of atm. I have been married to my dh for 6yrs now and he's extreamly supportive of my health issues. Throughout my childhood (since age 6), up till now, I have been treated for Bipolar Manic Depression, which we have never been able to stabalize with just about every medication out there. No one cared to look for any other underlying causes either. Now that I'm married and on my own, we've been fighting with doctor after doctor to get a dx for many health issues I've been having. I still have the symptoms of Bipolar, but I'm also becoming angry very easily (not like me at all, I'm normally very sweet and will do anything for almost anyone), I am yelling and screaming, tired all the time, I have aches and pains all over my body that don't seem to get better. I gained weight with my oldest dd (now 5.5yrs old) and I ended up gaining 100lbs even while being extreamly sick throughout the pregnancy and not able to hold ANYTHING down. I ended up from 150lbs to 250lbs. I fought to loose the weight and finally started loosing when I got pg with my youngest dd (she's now 22mos), though I gained it all back after having her. I can't get below 210 and I have been eating around 1000-1500 calories a day and doing 2-4 hours of workouts a day, even when I don't have any energy, I will at least do some dancing arond with the girls to get some working out in, anything to get my heartrate up and try to burn fat. I have spoken with many nutritionists and we have done every diet we can afford and every diet my allergys will allow, and I still won't loose weight. Oh, I'm also 5ft 1in and currently at 213lbs. I also have some physical problems we can's seem to explain. I'm currently going to a nurologist because I had an MRI of the brain and there was one spot on the MRI and no explination for it, still is no explination for it. It is on the right side and twords the front, that's about all I can remember (the nurologist took the papers from my MRI scans against my request, so I can't tell exactly where it is). I also had a Lumbar MRI and they dxed me with degenerative disk disease, I have no disks in the last 3 vertabra of my spine. The reason for all these tests are to see why my legs, arms, hands, and face keep going numb periodically. Now we are also dealing with the weight and a hump on my back that the doctors are calling the Buffallo (sp) hump, but my blood tests came back normal (they tested my cortasol, liver, kidneys, and other organs). I'm currently trying to figure out what other tests to have the doctors run since I am still continuously getting hot flashes, the hump is getting bigger and actually causeing pain in my neck and shoulders, my eyesight seems to have developed little floaties (those don't go away), the anger I feel (though it's under control, dh is a HUGE help), the numbness and now pain in my limbs and face, dizzy spells (I'm sitting right now and I'm dizzy), migranes, irregular menses (I can go 1-3mos w/o one and then have one that is within 2wks of just stopping the last one), memory problems, depression, and I can go on. It's all fusterating and no one can give me answers. They have tested for Lupus and MS, the one spinal came back neg and they said since the one spot didn't get worse, then there is no chance it's MS or Lupus (I have an aunt with MS and 2 cousins with Lupus), I did test poss for basically being allergic to myself, but the test he ran 6mos later was neg, barely, but it was (the poss was just barely also). I have no clue what is going on now. My family doc is also strongly thinking Cushings, but there isn't much on the net, at least not that is very understandable. I have been having too many probs understanding things, and it's just been crazy for me. I don't like living this way and I want to be able to be a normal mom. Oh, and I have seizures that they can't seem to figure out where they come from and right below my right eye twitches constantly. I'm on Zonegran 100mg once a day, the nurologist thought it could help with my numbness, depression, anger, and one of the side effects are weight loss. Well, even though the dr thinks it's helping, but he doesn't see that it's not helping at all. Deffinatly not helping the weight loss (the main reason he switched me from Neurontin and the neurontin was working for at least my migranes and depression). I'm sorry this is so long, but I wanted to make sure everything possible is in here. TIA if anyone has any advice.
/hugs,
Cassie
