Hi y'all, glad to have found you! I was just diagnosed with hypothyroidism yesterday. My TSH level was at 80, and my doc told me normal range was between .5 and 5. What does that mean? I haven't felt "normal" for months, if not years, so I'm happy to find out I am not lazy or going insane. Just what kind of symptoms are associated with such high TSH levels, and can I expect them to go away with the meds? My doc said it should take about 2 weeks for me to noticably feel better, and wow, I can't wait... In the meantime, do any of you have answers for me? Thanks a bunch in advance!!

Hi Sd_sue,
Welcome to our board.
A TSH level of 80 is quite high.
