Recently I got in a bad car accident, they found nodules by "accident" during my CT scan.
Now they sent me for an ultra sound, the Dr calls me and says I have 20 nodules, some very large. Now, for the past 4 years I have gone to several dr's, complaining of neck pain, sweating too much, heat flashes, headaches, fatigue, weight flucuations etc. Even my breasts have been so sore lately~! Now, I went for the needle test last week, didn't do well with it, didn't mind the numbing agent at all....but the pressure was pretty bad when they were going into the thyroid. Since I have several, they are going in many times over~! I have to go back again this Friday,..eeesh. My doctor is treating this all so lightly, I am a number in this large practise. I feel, anxious, and scared, but also relieved that what I have been going through all along does have a cause, {aka, it's not well, your a women, hormones, blah, blah} I survived a horrible car accident with my daughter in July.....I'm ready to feel well~! To get on with life. These kind of major events truly are eye opening, and made me realize what is important in life. One is health for sure~!
What do I do next? Most Endo's are numbers guys.

Hi Raeann006,

You do have quite a few nodules and your symptoms could be connected to a thyroid problem.

Hi Calley~!
Thanks so much for replying~! Yes....I have had two of the blood tests. The first one..which he didn't dicuss numbers with me, he told me was Hyper. The second for some reason he said fell into the range of normal.
I got so upset today I drove to his office to confirm....I was indeed getting another biospy this Friday. He thought because of the car accident I may put it off since I have herniated disks. But...oh no way~! This is too important even if my neck does hurt right now. I'm am 41,..but have been having these symptoms since I was 37.
How about you? How has your experience been? Were you treated and better now? Some say surgically removing them is the route to go...others say medications can do the trick. I guess it's all what your indivual body needs.

Calley :
He wouldn't even give me my paper work yesterday when I drove to the office. All I wanted were the blood test results and the ultrasound report. I wanted to be able to look it up, and educate myself as to what is going on in my own body.He says he wants to talk to me personally and to make another appt. Not that that's a bad thing, but, my insurance doesn't cover him, so every time I go it's $140.00 a visit.
