I have hyperthyroid and have taken radioactive iodine for a goiter. I am wondering what the normal levels should be after treatment and can the levels be something that contributes to depression.

Hi Hazybunch,

Welcome to our board.

From your post, I'm assuming the RAI has basically "destroyed" your thyroid.

I had taken the RAI in 2000 and now my free T4 is 1.1 and my TSH is 3.40. I feel they are both a bit high (according to the "normal range") but I also had hemogram and Plt work done and my MCh came back high and my monocytes are high and my RDW is low. I am not sure of any of these number and what they all stand for.......help!!!
