Hi,
I have posted here before. My last entries were regarding an MRI for a pit tumor, but that came out negative. So, my dr took me totally off my Synthroid, as he thought I was crossing over into Hyper. As my Synthroid was dropped down twice, my TSH was high but getting lower. But now these results came in today, and I am worried all over again. I can't tell the difference between total and free. T4 & T3 were high as well for a few months prior. I don't know next steps yet, I am very confused.
Results on 11/30 taking 100mcg of Synthroid
TSH 5.7 0.3-5.5 uIU/mL
T4 15.8 4.5-12.0 ug/dL
T3 227 80-181 ng/dL
Results on 12/26 taking no meds
TSH 104 0.3-5.5 uIU/mL
T4 6.7 4.5-12.0 ug/dL
T3 114 80-181 ng/dL
Any advice would be great, since I am now experiencing Hypo symtoms again, and not seeing my dr until 01/11. He hasn't put me back on any meds yet.
Liz

Hi Liz,
Wow, those are some drastic changes in just a month's time.
I'm Kaycee. I've just reviewed your most recent messages and the ones from earlier in december. I too suffer from abnormally high TSH numbers. My first one in August of 2005 was 144. None of the physicians in that office had ever heard of a number that high. Over 3-6 months with increasing doses of levoxl, I had managed to get leveled out. Since then I've gone in for routine level checks and found that my TSH levels were up in the 20's. I can't miss my meds for even one day or these levels slip and I feel symptoms. When I do miss just a day I notice symptoms right away. A relative of mine (an RN) recently mentioned the possiblity of "nodules" on the thyroid. I plan to explore this idea with my physician at my next visit.
I'm curious to see if your doctors discover anything.
I guess I don't know if there is an answer to these dilemma's but am hoping that message boards like these can help us to figure something out.
Please maintain updates as you find new results and any information and I will attempt to do the same.
