I have hyper and hypo thyroidism with heart palpitations, high blood pressure, diabetes, vision issues, and alot of anxiety. I am not overweight but lose and go back to normal so spuratically that it is noticeable. I am on Propranolol (20mg 2x daily) but it is not helping. I have goiters in my throat and all of this happened one year roughly after menopause. Depending on the day, I have lost some of my short term memory, I get very nervous, snappy, or anxious (which is NOT like me at all), and I am depressed. I do not have insurance so cannot afford the blood tests or possible iodine treatment or the 356.00 for the Wellbutrin for depression. I was also told that after it is finally treated, I would need to stay on the thyroid medication for life or risk go into a coma. Is this correct? And WHERE is there a resource for getting this treated for persons without insurance? The symptoms are just about more than I can deal with right now.

Hey I'm new here but wanted to welcome you and hope you get the answers to help you!
Hi Passiespel,
Welcome to our board.
From the description of your symptoms, it sounds as though you may have a hyperthyroid problem.
