from graves to hypo

Hi to all who are dealing with a thyroid problem. Having been misdiagnosed for a very long time (years) last year I finally was told I had Graves disease. After dealing with my symptons for another 9months I finally was treated with radioactive iodine (8 millicurries). Within 8 weeks I was so hypo that my tsh went from .o (not registering) to 36. Needless to say I felt terrible. Now Im struggling to bring it down within normals ranges. My endo has me on synthroid 137mcg and I feel better but not great (tsh 11) she'll retest in 6 weeks. I'm so frustrated. I feel like I'm totally consumed by this condition. Does anyone have any insight? Would love to hear from others like me so I can stop thinking that I'm crazy.
Thanks

Hi tew221,

Welcome to our board.

I haven't dealt with the hypo side of thyroid disorders but a lot on this board have so they can relate to what you are going through.
