I don't know esp. with the tonsilectomy portion of yours ? but, what I can tell you is that I had an emergency visit to the endodontist 6 days post-op and it wasn't very comfortable in the chair at all with the thyroid incision.

Everybody's body reacts differently to surgeries and procedures. Take into consideration that your not only having a thyroid procedure but tonsils out also. If it were me I certainly wouldn't be thinking of having dental work too soon after surgery. Four months after my partial thyroidectomy I had a mammogram, and let me tell you, my neck hurt more after that test than after the actual surgery. If you don't have anything too pressing for dental work, I would sincerely advise waiting. Bea

As if the smash/bash of the mammogram itself isn't enough .. the ::::neck::::: .... oh my gosh, I never thought of it being pulled tight, etc.
