well i finally have good test results back!!! my tsh is 1.14 and my t3 was 87. I can actually get through the day without needing or wanting a nap. I had been misdiagnosed for so long that I just accepted feeling like I was always falling apart. Heres my problem still, even though I'm considered within normal range, I still feel like I have brain fog. I can't remember words in the middle of a sentence, I feel like I fade in and out of it. Is this a forever thing or will it subside eventually. I would hate to think I'll be unable to hold normal conversations ever. So if anyone else has any clues please help. Thanks!

Trish,

My last TSH was .08 and I feel horrible most of the time. I am constantly drained and my hair is falling out like crazy. I am easily distracted and extremely moody. My friend with the same diagnosis as myself said she was feeling the same way and her doc just added cytomil to her synthroid daily and now she feels great. I go Monday to talk to an endo about what to do to feel better.

Calley hit it on the head though. Just because your numbers are technically "in range" doesn't mean they're right for you.

Hope that helps!

Hi Nicki,

Thanks for getting back to me. My endo is out on maternity and though there is another Doctor covering her, the nurse called me with my results and left a message telling me to come back in 6 weeks. Prior to coming into range with my tsh #'s I had asked my endo if she believed in treating with dual meds and at the time she said there was no proof that treating t3 / t4 ( I can't remember which one) actually worked. So it figures that here Iam within normal tsh range with a normal range t3 and still feeling foggy and noticing that I'm starting to feel tired and drained again. I am and probably will always be amazed how society (even a endo) doesn't consider how a thyroid condition can truly toss ones life in the air. In the two years I've been dealing with my Son's Hashimoto and now my Graves produced hypo thyroid I feel like I am falling apart half of the time and picking up the pieces the rest of the time. I hope when my regular endo is back from maternity she'll have other suggestions or I probably will be searching for a new one. Thanks to this board and alot of good websites and books I've been gathering more information on my own so at the very least I'll know what to ask a new doctor before switching. It was great hearing from you.
