Hi everyone... I had asked my doctor to send me my results so I would be able to know more about the ranges etc. Needless to say, she sent me my TSH was 1.14 (.049-4.70) , T3 which was 87 (60-181) and then my free T4 which was 1.35 and then of course she didn't give me the range. I was hoping even without the free t4 range info. How my blood looked to others. I had been feeling much better up to about when the labs where taken then I started to feel tired and I truly never lost the brain fog feeling. Since the labs where taken, I also started a "way of life" change. You know.... diet Ha Ha... actually I met with a nutrionist and she put me on a high fiber diet. Basically I'm finally watching what I do such as:
AM: bowl of raisen bran with skim milk
my usual 2-3 cups of tea ( can't survive without it)
10am: apple or orange
Lunch: Sandwich (whole wheat bread, turkey or ham slice of cheese)
or grilled chicken salad with balsamic vinegrette
3-4pm: apple or orange handful of unsalted peanuts, cashews
Dinner: ranges.... chicken, vegies even pasta (whole grain)
I have to be realistic my family is very picky... so I tend
eat alittle more than recommended however I try to be aware
of breads and sugars and avoid them. If I go out to dinner
I just watch my portion more and treat myself to my old
favorites.
Snack: If I really want something I have plain yogurt with
unsweetned applesauce. ( It's actually not bad)
Anyway, my guestion was will my meds be absorbed differently now that I have changed my eating habits and added alot of fiber? I notice I've been more tired during the day again but I'm not suppose to have my labs retested till April 16th or so. Any insight would be appreciated. Thanks
Trish
