So I got my date finally after about 8 months of seeing doctors and getting hormones regulated.  He also said I could start Armour afterwards and that he see's better results from that instead of the synthroid.

I think what he said was definatly the lobe on the right and most of the lobe on the left. Guess he wants to save what he can but I definatly won't lose sleep over him taking out the whole thing.

My surgeon is a general surgeon who works alot at the hospital I work at, and since I'm on a surgical floor I see him alot. I know I can ask him questions and have him listen to me or I can suggest things (like the Armour med after surgery, I suggested and he said he likes it better anyway so we are going to go ahead with that).

He does seem like he has experience with this sort of thing. He looked like he felt comfortable the whole time with what we needed to do.

Now I just want to get it over with!

Sounds as though you're all set and I don't blame you for wanting it to be all over.
