Take Meds before Bedtime?

I just read an article from a weekly thyroid newsletter that reports on some research (12 subjects) in which these subjects did better when taking their levothyroxine at bedtime.  Has anyone tried this?  The article suggests asking your doctor about trying this for a short time to see if the med absorbs better.

Just thought I'd pass this along and see what everyone thinks.

Hi Calley,

My Son has been taking his synthroid at night since day 1 (2years). He was in High School and there was no way he could take it and not have it interfere with his food. So he takes it 10ish every evening. I also am on synthroid and take my pill in the am 6:30ish. I have extra time to wait an hour before eating where he has to be out the door by 7:15. We haven't notice any benefits either way am/pm I think with us it just works out better with breakfast not having to be skipped for him. When he starts college in the fall, he's considering switching to am since the class times would possibly allow that. Have a great day!

I tried that once and it kept me awake all night.
