Have you had your calcium levels checked out? That sounds like hypocalcimia what you are describing and is a side effect of the surgery if they wern't able to save the parathyroid glands. I would ask what your labs were to your dr.

I've heard from a few women who stopped losing hair when they switched to armour. I've heard of others whose hair loss stopped when they adressed adrenal issues. I fall into the second category. My hair loss was some thyroid, but much more adrenal. My sleep problems were also adrenal. No matter what I did, I could not get any better until I started sleeping - and that required resetting my circadian rhythm and sleeping in absolute darkness - not light at all - not even if I have to get up.

Dr. mentioned doing a complete thyroid panel at last appointment. Apparently she's only done TSH so far. I can't even get copies of the labwork out of my doctors anymore, just they write a letter with results, so you don't see it for yourself or the ranges or anything. I had been 4.6 (or 4.9 not sure she didn't give me that one just wrote low on letter) then 2.5 then 3.1. I went to a festival Friday where I stood for 4 hours, with just a couple short times sitting and walked quite a bit for another 2 hours. I already was achey after so I took 2 Aleve before bed. Slept the full night. So come Saturday I got up and took my meds in the morning and wanted to do some scrapbooking but as soon as I sat down I knew I had to go back to bed. I went back to bed and fiance made breakfast around 11 I couldn't even get up to eat. I did get up to eat around 12 made some tuna salad for lunch and immediately went back to be after being up about 15 minutes to make that and eat. I was trying to keep awake while in bed but kept falling asleep because I was absolutely EXHAUSTED, more than I can even describe. Fiance finally believes that there is really something is wrong and I'm not just being lazy. I then stayed in bed/slept until about 7:30 pm when I was finally ready to get up for a little bit. Managed to shower and go to the store for about 30 minutes. Still went to bed for the night around 9 pm. All total I don't think I was up for more than 3 hours Saturday. No cleaning or laundry got done all weekend and that is usually when I take care of stuff that needs to get done. Sunday I still felt achey, but was able to sit up all day at the computer, watch some television, eat. More brain was foggy feeling at this point Sunday. I still wanted to scrapbook, but it was difficult to think at this point so I just shuffled pictures and paper for awhile then gave up.
