Hi Everyone,
I just had my college age daughter tested for a thyroid condition. She has many symptoms such as fatique, weight gain, anxiety, muscle/joint aches etc.. I have Graves and my son has hashi so Im familiar with symptoms etc but we both had elevated antibodies. Here are her results
TSH 2.91 (0.49-4.70)
Free T4 1.39 (0.71-1.85
Total T3 173 (60-181)
Thyroglobulin AB <20.0 (<20)
Thyroid Peroxidase AB 19.7 (TSI 99 (<=125)
To me her TSH could be lower, and I thought her T3 seemed high end of normal but to be honest, I'm still learning about all of this. Could she have a sluggish thyroid without antibodies and if so would they treat it. Thanks for any advice you can send this way.

According to her tests, she looks great. Right where she should be. Keep investigating though. You said your daughter is college age, is she in college? Depression and anxiety disorders can have the same symptoms as well.
So, to answer your origional question though, yes you can be hypo without having antibodies. Sometimes the thyroid just burns out, low iodine intake, among other reasons can make one hypo.
