Questions about thyroid

Hi, I've got some questions about blood testing and thyroid. My doctor has suspected thyroid problems for little over a year now. But, every blood test has come back fine. I've been very tired and weak in muscle. And, close to fainting on occasions. She ran another blood panel Thursday and the nurse called and said that it showed my blood sugar was 260 and my thyroid is damaged. But, she never said what that meant .. except that the doctor would explain it better when I talk to her in person. The problem is, she wont be in office tell the end of next week. Can anyone tell me what she might mean by "damaged" thyroid? Thank you very much for any help.

Sounds pretty similar to my situation actually!
Some time last year I started feeling really weak and constantly tired and muscle pain and had an enlarged thyroid gland but my bloods kept fluctuating between normal and underactive thyroid so they wouldn't do anything until they showed that my levels were really low. After a really long time of fluctuating they sent me to a specialist who started me on a low dose of thyroid hormones (so low I haven really noticed a difference) But I have to go back every few months for tests and to check the dosage!
Dont worry too much at least your finally finding out what the problem is!
If you haven't already spoken to the doctor all you really need to ask is for a detailed explanation and what the plan of action will be! Emphasise how u feel again sometimes it takes a while to get through to Doctors, im pretty sure they thought I was a hypochondriac for a while!
All the Best! xx
