Hello! My name is Kim. I'm 30, married, and have 2 children....ages 2 and 5 1/2. I have been really depressed lately and my cycles have been a bit off. I had a panic attack the other night that sent me to the ER. I pressed for them to draw blood to check my thyroid. Today I got the results. They were abnormal. I think a normal level is .34-5.60 and mine was 6.95. I have no idea what that means, so if you could shed some light on that, it would be appreciated.
I'm EXTREMELY active. I teach aerobics and run. I love to work out. It brings me joy. It's just a part of my lifestyle. I'm really nervous about this condition affecting that.
I go to see my doctor tomorrow. I pray that all goes well and that I'm feeling better soon! When I saw the symptoms for hyperthyroidism, I just about fell over. I wanted to yell, "That's me!"
I'm looking forward to getting to know you!

I am pretty new to all this but wouldn't that # suggest Hypo and not Hyper .. in other words more depressed, sluggish, tired, etc. vs. anxiety?
