Congrats on the 32,000 posts! I stumbled upon this message board while searching on I Village when my DD was an infant (she'll be 3 in June). At that time I was hyperthyroid, endo diag. me with Graves. Was on meds for that for a year, in remission with no meds for over a year and just recently diag. with hypothyroid and now on meds. for that. I find a lot of support and information from this board. It is nice to know that there are others out there feeling the same way/going through the same stuff.
CONGRATS ON 32000 POSTS! I have been on ivillage for a long time and in November my endocrinologist's nurse called and said I needed to take Synthroid. She nor the doctor told me anything about my condition. I came here looking for information and just reading others experiences. I'll bring Chocolate White chip cookies:) Pam
WHOOPE-E-E-E-E-E, a party I am always good for! Let's see, I didn't discover ivillage but my DH did, and I was on another board, and someone on that board told me about the thyroid cancer board and I think I probably posted about 1999, about the same time our CL did, although I was unaware of that at the time. That person has since left the board but I have found her elsewhere, and elsewhere I have found somebody that had a TT and saw that she just posted also--bringing the wine she is, and I am going to bring more wine as I just love wine coolers as of lately, and I am bringing a dozen large size pizzas of all kinds. I'm sure there will be plenty there. Imagine, all those posts, and a lot of good information passed along, a lot of social awareness and realizing that others have some of the same problems and you aren't alone at all. Well, it will be 11 years since my TT this summer, and that gives me another reason to celebrate. So everybody, dig into the pizza, join us in all the goodies that everybody is bringing, and I will also bring some different flavors of ice cream and we can make sundaes with the bananas, hot fudge, strawberries, pineapples and whipped cream that I will also bring. Everybody, let's have fun----------------!!!
Congratulations on a BIG milestone!
If I remember correctly, I started posting on the thyroid boards and attending the chats in the fall of 1999.
Hey...Congrats on hitting 32,000 posts...that is great !!
Well, about 1 year ago, I went searching for info about a total thyroidectomy.. which I was about to have !
