Thyroid levels and pregnancy

i have never really had a history of thyroid issues, the only time was back in 2003 my TSH was elevated but it fixed it self. To my question. My daughter was born with cong hypo and the dr did that if my thyroid had been overproducing that it can be a cause, but thats a mute point because noone really knows. I just got my TSH checked and it was .40 Since they put the new numbers at .35 - 5.5 that puts me within normal, but I am wanting to get pregnant again and wondering if it will effect my next pregnancy?

Should I be concerned its low? Or since its within normal should I just not say anything?

Any thoughts?

Hi ttc42008,

Welcome to our board.

My thoughts would be that you should tell your doctor all about this thyroid history if you're seeing a different doctor regarding getting pregnant.
