Help me understand my blood work results

I had posted in an earlier topic that I have two nodules on the right side of my thyroid - which prompted an ultrasound and blood work. Well, I had gotten my ultrasound results back earlier this week but just got my blood work results in the mail yesterday and was hoping that someone could help me make sense of them.

Here they are:

TSH - 1.5 (.47-4.00)
T4 - .99 (4.5-12.0)
T3 Free - 4.0 (2.3-4.2)

The GP who reviewed everything said that my T4 being low wasn't a concern because the TSH and T3 were normal. After seeing the numbers and seeing how low it is, it's at least concerning me. Should I be listening to this doctor and not worry about my T4 number?

I'm seeing an endo in Sept so hopefully all of this will be addressed (the nodules and hormone levels) then but in the meantime, to me, that seems to be a very low T4 level and I'm surprised that the doc didn't seem to think it's a big deal.

Since all of you have so much experience with all of this, can you tell me what you think?

Many thanks!
Tracy

Hi Tracy,

I have been in a similar position with one of those figures (I think it was the TSH) in the normal range and one out of range.
