Everything Blamed on Thyroid

I don't understand. I had my thyroid removed 15 months ago and I still can't get my thyroid levels right. I bounce back and forth between hyper and hypo.

I'm having other health issues now and when the doctor can't tell me what's wrong, he says it's because of my thyroid. Then I talk to my endocrinologist and he says it's not because of my thyroid.

I'm going to run screaming from the building the next time a doctor tells me to resolve a health issue by just adjusting my thryoid. Like it's that easy.

Can anyone else relate?

Been there, done that, got the t-shirt. While I still have my thyroid, it got zapped due to Grave's disease that wouldn't go away. I was on a real roller coaster ride for about 18 months with the thyroid levels. You sound like me, in that you are extra sensitive to any changes in levels of the hormone. Even my endo had to admit that after a while when I would have problems. It will level off soon I would think but keep getting tested and insist on it even if the endo says it's something else. It is amazing all the symptoms you can have arising from a thyroid out of whack.

You have my sympathies and full understanding.

Hugs.

My Endo kept telling me my joint pain in my ankle was "thyroid related" and my Prim. Dr. 8mos ago when he found my nodules told me "your muscle enzymes are fine in your bloodwork" so i cont'd in pain for 8mos and now that my TSH is in good range (cancer supression and was at 1.3) and still phenomenal pain in ankle/foot I told my Endo I was going to see an Orthopedist for which she finally agreed as it "most likely is NOT thyroid related" .. ok .. get the picture:
