I had my right side removed on May 30th and I am still feeling "weird"; is this "normal" or should I be concerned? I feel tired and feel like I have low muscle tone, but not all the time; it comes and goes throughout the day. I also have trouble with my eyes like they go out of focus or rather into a "staring mode" I don't know how to describe it, like when you're zoning out and just staring into space, and then you blink your eyes and snap out of it. This happens also throughout the day and I have to keep blinking to re-focus my eyes. My vision doesn't get blurry just gets in this staring mode.
And, my neck is still sore from the right side to the front; is this normal six weeks post-op? It feels weird like there's something "wrapped around it" and I still have problems swallowing, especially taking larger pills/vitamins; it's like they don't want to go down.
Also, sometimes my tongue feels swollen, and I get tongue-tied when talking especially if I'm talking too fast.
I felt really bad after my surgery and it took a good week to get back to feeling ok. I was very weak and tired and just plain out of it. I feel so much better now, but these issues really have me worried; like I never got back to myself 100% after the surgery. Has this happened to anyone else? Is this related or something totally different? Any replies would be appreciated; I am getting really nervous that I have some crazy neurological thing going on! Thanks.....Jill

Hi Jill,
I think some of what you're feeling is probably normal.
