Hello again,
Ive been reading posts but been a while since I have had any questions. I was diagnosed with hypo about a year ago, and since then found out I have hashimotos as well. A condition of hashimotos is the need to constantly regulate the dosages needed which so far mine have never leveled out yet. I am on the Armour and started out at 30 mg. My concern and question is when I was upped to 60 mg about 2 months ago I experienced a very scary night and I am still unsure if it was related to my body adjusting to the dosage increase. I had woke up dizzy and when I stood up it was better but I couldnt hardly walk, but laying down the room was spinning, I was nauseaus and sweaty and home alone so I was scared. It lasted most of the day and hasnt happened since. But now my doc has upped my meds to 90 mg and Im nervous about taking it. He doesnt think the scenario was related but when I had called the ER during the episode and the ER nurse said it could be related. So, Im wondering if anyone else ever had such an experience with adjusting to the new dosages? Ive been reading symptoms of over dosage and some of them fit me now but then so does some of the symptoms of not enough med so Im confused. I am having irratic thinking, anxiety, irritable, emotional, cant concentrate, forgetful, highs and lows that are all driving me crazy and making me worry even more.
Im tempted to not take the increase and stay where Im at and find a 2nd opinion. I am 42 yo so I was also tested for menopause but he ruled that out so I dont know why Im feeling like I am.
Thanks for any input,
Deb

Hi Deb,
Those symptoms do sound scary and I can see why you were really concerned.
