Hello- thank you to everyone who takes the time to post answers and opinions!
I am hoping for some insight to my "problems".
I have complaining to my ob/gyn for 2 years about : tired, feel "off", sad, moody, dry skin, nails splitting, and most recently, heavy, painful periods. Not all in one visit, but over the course of 3 years. I have been on anti depressants, prescription strength ibuprofen, and told I have 4 kids... of course I am tired and forgetful... and people my age have heavy periods!
I do not know why I never went to my pcp - probably because I have been prego for many years... haha!!
Anyhow, finally went to my pcp about the periods, who referred me to a different ob/gyn. Had an ultrasound, and blood work. Blood work came back that my TSH was 5.2. The OB-Gyn said I needed to be on medication & faxed the results to my PCP. My PCP said this was border line... not anything to worry about.
What are your opinions?? Could this be causing the pain and heavy periods? The tiredness, foggy memory? Should I get a new PCP?
THANK YOU!!

Hi mom2jnnj,
Welcome to our board.
Between your symptoms and the test results, I probably would agree with your Ob/Gyn about being on medication.
