hypo thyroid and vertigo

A while back I posted about a scary incident that happened and was not sure what it was.  I am hypo with hashimotos and had just had my meds upped so I wondered at the time if that had anything to do with it.  I had woke up sick to my stomach in the middle of the night and found that laying down I felt worse, I was home alone, could not walk straight without the wall, and spent most of the night and next day in the bathroom.  Well it passed and I felt better so I let it go, never mentioned it to anyone.  Now it happened again yesterday during the day, thank goodness I was at home.  I wasnt as nauseaus as before but still spent most of the day in the bathroom and very dizzy feeling, home alone again and very scared again.

I did some research online today and discovered it could be vertigo and that there are links between thyroid disorders and vertigo.  Have any of you ever had this experience or at least know anything about the links ??  I hope none of you had it because I can tell you it scares me, its such an out of control feeling.  It just so happens I have a doctor appt next week and hope to find out more but I wanted to see if any of you have any info too.

Thanks in advance

hi, i'am new to this site. Just ran across it tonight and was reading what you wrote. I don't have an answer to your question, but i find what happend to you very interesting. I was diagnosed with the same thing as you and have been having similar symptoms. I really didn't think to much about it i just thought maybe i was to tired and just kind of blew it off. I'm glad there might be an answer now.

I experience this sometimes and I think for me, it happens if I don't drink enough water during the day. I exercise a lot and if I don't get enough water, it's my body's way of telling me that I need more. When I drink more water, it doesn't happen. I think it's super important to not get to the point of feeling thirsty. By then, we are already dehydrated.

I'd try it and see if it helps. Good Luck!
