New here...I feel like such a idiot, I was diagnosed as hypothyroid when I got pregnant with my first, the perenatologist suspect its been a problem for a long time. So I was treated and am on medication, healthy pregnancy, healthy baby. Well I am pregnant with number two now and its difficult to take meds on empty stomach since I have to eat all the time or I get sick cause my bloodsugar plummets. I have thrown it up with my morning sickness and last week missed a few doses. Well I started spotting, Im in my second trimester. The spotting started a couple days after I missed a dose. The spotting stopped a couple days after I started up on my pill again. After researching it just occured to me that missed thyroid hormone can cause misscarrage even late. Im a lil scared :(
I'm wondering if anyone here has missed doses and still had a healthy baby and carried to term, or if they had spotting problems? Could missing a couple/few doses be why I spotted? If anyone here has had any complications with pregnancy due to their thyroid disorders and if anyone has had a baby with problems due to thyroid problems in pregnancy? How often should I get my blood tested. Im confused..
Thanks for any input, I have DR appointment this week and will talk to them about this. Also should I have been directed to see a speacialty dr for this, sometimes I feel drs prefer to just shove a pill in your mouth and not give you information. I feel in the dark as this is still new to me, and I feel ashamed like I should have researched more and demanded more or better care or information, not just heres a prescription refill it often. Any one have good websites that have info about this, thanks again.

Hi iv_angel8199,
Welcome to our board.
You're asking some good questions and I understand your concern.
Hi there!
I visit this board occasionally. Honestly, haven't been on here in a while :(
First off, Congratulations on your new bundle!
I have been ttc my second child for the last year. I was diagnosed and put on synthroid a year and a half ago. I spoke to my endo about ttc. She said that as soon as I found out I was pregnant to let her know, because she would want to check my levels and most likely up my dose. I also told her that I had severe morning sickness when pregnant with my son. I mean getting sick at least 6 times a day for the first 4 1/2 months. I was worried that I wouldn't be able to take the synthroid on an empty stomach, since I couldn't get out of bed without eating at least some dry cereal or crackers. Even then, I would get sick. She suggested that I put the synthroid and water by my bed and try to take them before getting up, then lay there for a few. If I needed to, dry cereal or crackers would not effect the absorption. She said to stay away from taking vitamins or cereal with milk, anything with a lot of iron, too. Even then, you loose 25% off the dose, so taking it with something to settle your stomach is better then not at all. She said if it got really bad and I couldn't keep the pill down, she would have me come in and do an iv.
Many women with hypothyroid have healthy pregnancies and healthy babies. A lot of women spot through the first trimester and longer, too. Talk to your doctor about your concerns. Do you see and endo, too? May want to talk to them.

Thanks ladies for the resource information and responding
I have not yet seen an endo, and after looking online the other day,
