Hi I am new to the board any advice suggestions will be helpful.

I went to a specialist a few months ago She said even though my thyroid numbers show in range they are low readings She gave Me the THR stimulation test and She said I have an underactive thyroid and She prescribed Armour thyroid 30 mg's

I decided to wait to take anything and go to an Endocrinologist He said it is underactive He ran a ton of test that all came back normal He said He feels it is very mild and I don't need meds and so did My primary.

Here is my latest readings my numbers are in the bold:

Meanwhile I am tired beyond belief and loose a toon of hair everyday get palpitations, states of panic for no reason, & night sweats.

T4  1.38    (reference range 0.82-1.77)

TSH  2.270      (reference range 0.450-4.500)

T3 uptake  31    (reference range 24-39

THR stimulation test 22.35   ( reference range 8.0-15.0)

Any advice would help I thought maybe to try the Armour and see how I feel with it I feel so frustrated and stressed by all of this & I really hate that the Endo through the depressed card at Me I told Him I am not and I just want to feel like Myself again just because I am young doesnt mean there is nothing wrong.

Thanks Guys Hugs

Hi Vanny,

Welcome to our board.

I probably would agree that your hypo is fairly mild since your test figures are technically in the "normal" range.
