She has arrived!!!

As most of you know from fb, Alexis Sarah-Marie has arrived. She was born on Jan 26th at 10;05 pm weighing 6lbs, 5oz.

A very quick delivery. I went into l and d at about 2pm, not sure if my water had broken. It hadn't, I was 4 cm dilated. I was only registering small contractions on the monitor. I lucked out, because my OB was on call that day. She kept me there without admitting me and had me walk around. I went up and down the stairs about 100 times that day, I was not going to be sent home. lol. At about 6pm, she checked me again,and I was 5cm. She said that was a good enough change for her. I still had no pain. She broke my water, and the pain started about 7pm. I got my epi a little later, and by 10pm I was fully dilated. My doc had gone down to do a surgery and we paged her just in time. She came running from the other side of the hospital to deliver,and just barely made it. I pushed for less than a minute, she just came flying out.

The whole delivery process was great. We were all laughing and joking around the whole time, and the doctor told me I was an amazing birther.lol. We got home last night, I only stayed the required 24 hours.

We are all doing well, except I am exausted. I will post pics as soon as I catch up on some rest.
