I'm just going to suggest the regular things that can often help. Maybe Hugs or someone else will have an idea.
Ok, try clearing your cache and cookies. Reboot and see if that helps. If not try getting out of iV and aol and then close down your computer, wait awhile and start it again. And sometimes there's just a glitch in computerland too. That's all I can think of.

If nothing works, try reading the long threads by the numbers under the post maybe. I find they go faster.
Hey mel,
Dial up has nothing to do with whether or not you can pull up outline view.
I just tried and it worked fine .. I suggest you reboot as well as try all Golly said.
then let me know and I will see if the *higher* ups know anything ..

**I assume you mean *outline* from the right side of each folder .. correct ..
If so .. try again .. You should be able to click on outline, then a *half* like page appears .. then click on post you want to open .. then a whole page, the post you wanted should open .. So where in that process does it stop working ..
Let me know :)

Could it be that doing that makes it work for you??
Hope that did it. I had a time figuring it out myself at first. See, the Outline page is Covering the individual post. Try doing that.

For what it's worth, the same thing happens to me sometimes. I think computers get fussy and get in arguments with their ISPs. I've also thought that, at least my, ISP likes to play pranks.
Maybe they're on the rag. OR. If this either happens for weeks at a time, or very sporadically, they could be having sudden hormonal changes that will bug you for YEARS.
Excuse my language, Hugs. It's part of the process (I guess).
Love, your well-meaning, but obviously out-of-it,
Yogi
